Lemon Drop Cookies
{MP 15 Ward Cookbook}

4 cups flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 ½ cups butter flavored Crisco
1 tsp lemon extract
Zest of one lemon
1 6-oz pkg. lemon drops, crushed

Cream together sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon extract, and lemon zest. Add remaining ingredients. Roll into balls and flatten slightly. Bake on parchment paper for 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Let sit for a few minutes and then brush Lemon Glaze on top.

Lemon Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
Juice of one lemon

I think this recipe is in Grandma's 5 star cookbook. It looks the same anyway. Love it. Everyone who tries these loves them.
