A Bite of Spring

Fresh Herbed Pasta
{Inspired by Martha Stewart March 2009 "Living"}
1-2 cups of whatever pasta you like-- I love using whole wheat Chiocciole or Casarecce
1/2-3/4 cup freshly chopped basil
1/2-3/4 cup freshly chopped flat-leaf parsley
2 garlic cloves, minced
Juice of 1 lemon, and about 1/4 tsp of lemon zest
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and pepper
Parm. cheese or Pecorino cheese (sheep's cheese-- strong and stinky)
Cook your pasta al dente, drain. In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients to taste. Enjoy while warm.
