Luxurious

Stuffed French Toast with Chocolate and Strawberries
Serves 12

My friend Kelly made this for a church activity last weekend. Let me tell ya, it was the dish to grab!!! I'm just sorry I don't have a photo of it to make you all drool, but with chocolate, cream cheese, sugar, and strawberries, I'm sure your imagination is enough:). Eat and be merry.

8 oz cream cheese, room temp.
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
7 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 cup cream or half n' half
1 loaf of any bread you like with crusts cut off
1 c. semi sweet choc. chips
6 oz. strawberries for topping
Maple syrup for topping
Sifted powdered sugar for topping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
mix cream cheese with powdered sugar until soft and spreadable, set aside
take 6 slices of bread and spread cream cheese and then cut into cubes and layer them cream cheese side up in the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.

Pour the choc chips on top and spread all over, then take the remaining pieces of bread and lightly spread the rest of the cream cheese on them and lay them face down in the dish to make a "sandwich".....don't need to cube these pieces.:)

In a separate bowl, combine eggs, vanilla, milk, half and half, cinnamon and nutmeg and whisk til blended. Pour egg mixture over the top and make sure all of the bread gets coated. Let it sit in refrigerator at least 2hrs or overnight.

Bake at 350 for 45 min covered with foil and then the last 15 min uncovered,
let cool for about 5 min and dust with powdered sugar and spread sliced strawberries, drizzled syrup and more powdered sugar.....ENJOY!!!! (hope you do)
